Mysticism in the 21st Century first brought Primal Craft under the academic lens when the students of Professor Connell Monette chose the Primal Witchcraft as the focal point of a study into Paganism and the Witch Cult of today; identifying Primal Craft as an authentic Path of Hecate in this Aeon.
Through Sirius Academic Press Prof. Monette has now released a second, revised, edition of Mysticism in the 21st Century. Alongside the chapters on Hermeticism, Paganism, Sufism, Tantra and Yoga the book now contains extra chapters and material such as Gnawa (African Traditional spirituality), Shambhala (Buddhism) and the Voudon Gnostic movement.
The first edition was utilised by a graduate study class in Al Akhawayn before being made available to universities around the world as a study text. A far more rounded and consumate volume, the second, revised edition is sure to make an impact upon those persons (both inside the academic community and those outside it) who wish to study and view our respective paths and faiths from an objective standpoint. The text brings justified and overdue awareness to the various mystical paths within its pages. In this alone Prof. Monette has achieved his aim by creating a study text that allows the modern university graduate to gain understanding of many of the mystical and spiritual paths in this world. In a dangerous and ever changing world education and awareness of the many cross-conjoined currents is important. Knowledge dispels fear.
